Improvisation Mystery Solved in Full-Day Guitar Lecture
| Demand for Electric Guitar Improvisation courses has never been higher,
a new survey reveals. Guitar Guru, Teacher-Mentor of 25000 guitar students
over the years, and one of this countries major guitar talents, John Mizarolli
agrees: ‘I’ve had 1000s of enquiries from my website - all potential students,
and I can’t possibly teach them all myself right now. There are only so many
hours in the day!’ John’s answer to
the exploding demand for electric guitar improvisation lessons apart from
teaching through the night as well -
is his new 5-hour improvisation crash-course, a preview of the successful
Cosmic Guitar Course, including live demonstrations. He states: ‘I’m putting
together a series of 5 hour lectures to cram more people in and prepare them
for the Cosmic Guitar Course. Delegates from around the world get 50 Cds/Dvds before
the lecture even starts so they gain maximum benefit; you can get a taster of
the awesome live demonstrations and should you have lots of questions, get them ready to
ask on the actual day.’ |
Mizarolli is a skilled technician, an inventive player very much in the
Hendrix mould, but metal, blues and jazz styles are all responsive to his
martial arts approach which uses chi energy and Zen mastery of sound muscle
co-ordination. The courses are based around improvisation, without the
necessity to read music, which a lot of students consider good news. The
popularity of Music of the Sphere’s courses have been attributed to the claim
that they offer a method to obtain limitless knowledge of music, resulting in
total self-control in any sphere concerning music or it’s technology! The
course is based on a harmonisation of spirit, mind and body and stresses the
importance of understanding music as a science and a tool to release pure
emotion. John insists ‘Although the mind study is complex, the practical progress
achieved after 6 months of intense study are comparable to 5 years of conventional
study’.

Experience the latest Guitar Technology - ‘Guitar Sounds’ - Audio Visual Magazine |
| Part of the days introductory lecture - which is already attracting
international delegates, as it is taught nowhere else in the world - are likely
to include live demonstrations of some of the latest guitar technology as
played on Guitar Sounds Electronic
Magazine, on the website mizarolli.net. The latest equipment from Fender,
Messer Boogie, Jackson, Roland, Sonus, T.C. Electronic, Emerald Guitars and
others are reviewed and demonstrated with original improvised material using
chromasonics whilst John explores the full tonal range and musical
possibilities of the instruments and technology. Roland, upon hearing Johns demo of their VGA7 Amp, immediately
endorsed him as ‘one of this countries true guitar virtuosos’ on their website
roland.co.uk.and are using it for their own promotions. |

John’s Cosmic Guitar Course has attracted widespread media curiosity
over the years, especially as it has some revolutionary scientific claims,
concerning light and sound relationships. Comparisons are drawn between
Pythagorean geometry and the dimensions of music theory, which are described as
sound polygons. These are explored in-depth throughout the one-day course,
which appeals to guitar professionals, semi-pros and enthusiastic beginners.
|
| John Mizarolli can be found in the International Encyclopaedia of Rock
and Heavy Metal as a ‘Virtuoso Extraordinaire’ and Kerrang! has described
his playing as ‘Stupifying Wizardry’. BB King’s bassist for ten years, the late Big Joe Turner endorsed John as the
UK’s leading blues guitarist. John has performed with Stevie Winwood, Ginger
Baker’s ‘Energy’ and other luminaries. A master of music theory he quotes an
impressive assortment of players amongst past and present students.
Stereophonic’s producer Steve Bush has attended weekly tuition for over 2 years, which Mizarolli insists should give one the equivalent of 5 years
progress when compared to conventional teaching methods.
So what does Steve Bush, one of today’s leading rock producers in the
UK think of photosonics, which claims to use the latent technique of ‘seeing
music as colour.’ or ‘The lost Chord’, a system called Chromasonics? And how has it helped him with his producing
or writing? |

| "I was looking
for a suitable way to approach fundamental music theory from the point of
view of the "musicology" of sound and how it affects the listener.
I searched around the internet for a while and stumbled upon John's site.
The method he described for correlating sound with colour and the emotion
of music seemed like an ideal starting point. Once I met John and realised
how vast his knowledge was, I was compelled to dive headlong into intense
study and find out for myself what he was offering. The past 10 months of
learning with John has been a true eye and mind opener for me. John
has refined a method for teaching music theory and how it applies to the guitar
that brings the whole paradigm well within the grasp of anyone who is serious
about understanding music at all levels. I'm personally really looking forward
to developing my music analysis skills and "inner ear" using John's
system of ‘Chromasonics’ to the point of instant access in my mind and thereby
apply it to all my daily production and writing work.
I cannot recommend John's system highly enough to anyone interested
in getting the most out of their guitar playing and music in general. John's
lecture course would be an ideal way for more people to be able to experience
the system first hand".
