Finding guitar tuition on the web that yields practical results is not always easy. One guitar teacher who teaches metal, blues, jazz, soloing, theory, improvisation to an innovative level is hard to find. Endless guitar courses, freebies and guitar lessons to download on the Internet. How do you distinguish the ones that give guitar god promises from the real thing? Guitar teachers are dime a dozen and so are the licks, tricks, riffs and grooves. |

Look for a guitar teacher who suits your requirements and who has the temperament in a guitar lesson to answer "all" your questions about theory for instance. Finding guitar tuition that's beneficial to your playing, doesn't always mean someone who teaches your favorite songs. It’s always worth asking around and seeing if the guitar teachers students are gigging or still bedroom musicians. Without mentioning any names - John Mizarolli taught a leading guitar teacher who came from Malta to study with him. He ended up opening a Guitar Institute in Malta. What he told John was interesting - he said he'd met hundreds of guitarists who had spent up to $100,000 a year studying at Guitar Institutes and the like. The problem was too be frank, most of them were crap! Most of them were disappointed naturally. They made one big mistake - they thought information, money and lots of paperwork = Great Playing! What you have to ask is, what is the most important music criteria for you and try to find guitar lessons which cover that particular issue. If you have a problem with the right hand technique simply call the teacher and ask him what are his methods and solutions to improving the right hand. If you’ve already tried everything with no results then try Mizarolli's approach - but please put in the practise time otherwise there's no sense in attending his tuition? If you’d like to play in a particular style, try getting guitar lessons from a performer who is a gigging artist of that style of music |

If you’d like to try several genres, it’s best to find someone versatile like John who teaches Rock, Jazz, Blues, Funk and Punk music etc.. that way you will not have to travel from one teacher to another to learn everything you want. These are very simple tips, but some people forget about them entirely and then complain after signing up for Guitar Lessons that don’t cover what they wanted. Instead of checking out what they are paying for, they go blindly into a Fool's Paradise. It's not so difficult to find out what you are going to learn, you can simply ask the teacher about the Content & Schedule of your guitar lessons and what exactly are you going to play in the tuition time.
