Experienced teacher teaches guitar lessons
I went through a huge amount of books instead of signing
in for Guitar Lessons. Nothing gave me the results that I expected and, to be honest,
nothing gave me any real lasting satisfaction at all. I was back in the same place as before, still without Guitar Lessons, but I had acquired a huge collection of apparently useless books for learning How to Play the Guitar which were collected from the
moment I decided to learn. On hindsight I realize the books were fine but without a teacher to train me on how to organize and glean information from courses I was useless and maximizing only 5% of the music I was offered in tab and notation! |
Totally drained, I thought
I should resign from playing an instrument altogether. Would
this be the best choice for me? At that point my sister came
as real salvation to my music career. She knew what I was trying to do and
had the great idea of buying me a series of Guitar Lessons
with John Mizarolli for my birthday. That was the greatest
birthday present I’ve
ever had. The problem of choosing books was solved on my first
meeting with John and I never felt like I wanted to change the
books recommended by him. These Guitar Lessons blew my head off! The advice I received from an expert could not be valued in money terms! In terms of Music it was worth a trillion riffs I suppose and maybe millions of chords! |
Book, Videos, Dvds and everything afterwards became my own voice
and thanks to recommendations and advice given by John, I could
make my own mind up and discern for myself what was good and bad information on the market. Strange as it may sound, in the Guitar Lessons I was taught 'Musical Taste'
Developed a Taste Filter of choices which were much more mine than before. I thought I
was so independent, but inexperience leaves alot to be desired. I have to admit I was getting
manipulated by the marketers who were really ingénius
in selling me all that self-taught stuff which was supposed
to replace decent Guitar Lessons and a Human Being! They convinced me
I really needed a shit load of useless information. It’s
a real shame they didn’t
convince me that I needed Guitar Lessons as much as I need
air to breath – then
I wouldn’t
have lost all that time and money. |
