Many young musicians in bands are now enjoying the Guitar Lessons Explosion available to them on the Web, in Music Shops, Institutes, Videos, Cassettes, Mp3s, YouTube and Dvds. It’s worthy to mention this
choice of materials to learn from, as can see there is no shortage of rock'n'roll education. A far cry from the rebels of the past who had to fight for their knowledge and freedom. Now the information age is here and that means fast processing of knowledge in all mediums, not just music. Good electric guitars available for less than £100 - this was impossible less than a decade ago. Guitar sales quadrupled between 2005 and 2007! Shit, even Tony Blair jams his axe. Bill Clinton always liked a blow on his Sax. Yes I did say Sax.
With multiple mediums, everything is available and that is why so many people
believe that Guitar Lessons are not needed any more. Nothing
could be further from the truth. Music is about Human Emotional Interaction. Learning privately from someone who has a totally individual style is a different musical experience altogether. You physically see in front of you spontaneous techniques, you discuss the mechanics in detail, personal philosophy, basically there is an interactive chemistry that occurs and the whole experience and personality of each unique musician is a memorable emotional thing. The person who resigned from getting Guitar
Lessons is still trying to find the perfect book, course etc...
for them, private tuition is not on the cards. As the market choice is really broad and their knowledge
is far from perfect, their choice is usually more or less an accidental pot luck event.
They get courses with the most colorful cover
and best pictures, not the best content. Which looks appealing to the eye? It sounds childish
but, believe it or not, the majority of people without Guitar
Lessons have no idea on how to choose the right learning material, so their
criteria is very random and immature. There's no denial that
graphics are an important and valuable learning
factor that can encourage you to work harder but if there
is nothing valuable in the book how can you learn anything? At
private Guitar Lesson, a teacher would usually present you with a few
books and tell you about their pros and cons, so you can
balance out what is more important for you and what you can resign
from. In my experience advice from a pro in Guitar Lessons is
much more useful as you have an experienced advisor
who will not only tell you How to Play the Guitar but also how
to practise and what book would be recommended for your needs.
So called independent young players try
many courses, Dvds, Books and CDs losing money which would comfortably
pay for decent Guitar Lessons and save years of pissing about.
