I heard through the grapevine that my son wants me to pay for home guitar lessons, but he's still not brave enough to come and ask me personally. He only told his mum he wants to have guitar lessons at home. I really don't mind accepting, but only on the condition this will not interrupt my lifestyle and he must come and ask me for money personally and totally convince me there is some sort of future in it. I bought him the electric guitar he has a few years ago, but never considered it was possible to start playing it as a carreer. I don't understand why he wants guitar lessons at home as in his school he would get a chance to learn with other students, which is much better for human interaction.
I'll ask him why he has decided to have guitar lessons at home, maybe he's forgotten he has a young sister that needs to sleep during day and his playing during guitar lessons at home would interrupt her? My work at home is different? It's quieter. I sometimes write articles for a whole day on the computer, how will I be able to concentrate while he's having guitar lessons at home with a teacher? I need to ask him what the cost of guitar lessons at home is, as you have to extra for travel expenses. At this moment we have a limited home budget, if it's too expensive he must find some work and pay at least half the price of the guitar tuition. Maybe he'll become a rock star and I can retire early?
