GUITAR TECHNIQUESI am a beginner guitarist and I am hungry for useful guitar techniques. I've got some books on learning music theory and playing guitar chords with related guitar techniques, but the jargon is very difficult to follow for somebody who's a novice. Direct input from the pages of a book to your fingers is much easier for a professional musician. Initially I started to look for help on the internet freeby websites. I was overloaded with guitar techniques but failed to sound anything like what I was hearing. Terms like, tremelo, whangy bar downbends, divebombs, harmonics, relative pitch and chord-scale relationships left me clueless. Modes? What the hell are they? Greek Mythology? Ionian, Phrygian ..... ??? I need someone to give me a serious rundown on guitar techniques in a manner that I can apply practically.A pro teacher who can teach me guitar techniques and theory so I can move fast! I am happy to invest time and money for guitar lessons provided I get results. Musician friends and guitarists try to help me, but nobody has the time or patience for such a hobby. Guitar teaching does not interest them at all. I thought it would easy, just pick up a guitar and my hand would follow the melody and chords of my favorite songs. But without professional help to pass on the learning of guitar techniques, I'm not able to start my adventure of playing guitar. I think the best idea is to search the internet. Research all the Ads of people who can teach me professional guitar techniques. Motor skills? Tablature? Substitution? Licks? Riffs? Time Signatures? I'm lost! The printed examples of guitar techniques online are ok, I think they're a good beginning. Guitar Tablature is quite amazing but it seems that practical Guitar Techniques have to be shown to me on a one to one basis. Then I can achieve finger freedom faster!
