I've got some books on learning and playing the guitar with related guitar techniques, but the text is very difficult to follow for somebody who is a novice. Direct input from the pages of a book to your fingers is much easier for a professional musician. I started first to look for help from my own family. My brother knows some guitar techniques as he had a band in high school, but he is very busy and works as account manager, very far away from our house.
He could teach me guitar techniques if he had the time. I would even be able to pay him for the lessons. I asked some musician friends to help me, but nobody has time for such a hobby. The printed examples of guitar techniques online are ok, I think they're a good beginning. Guitar Tablature is quite amazing but it seems that Guitar Techniques have to be shown to me on a one to one basis. Then I can achieve finger freedom faster! Anyway, I've been recommended to John Mizarolli who is reputed to have taught over 25000 guitarists! That's enough proof for me - I'm sure I could pick up a few Guitar Techniques from him.
