advance in my Guitar Lessons, students are expected to play
clearly, concisely, effectively with good meter..
Students need to feel comfortable working with a theme or riff
and organizing their thoughts to concentrate is not easy in music. To improvise and use chords, scales and arpeggios to create emotion is also a demanding task. Students try to be efficient at building rhythms, riffs, grooves and short songs. In short,
students in my Guitar Lessons try to understand the relationship
between emotions and self-expression and connections between
feeling and playing.
Unfortunately in the beginning, many students have great difficulty playing.
Even though capable of playing songs, some guitarists are unable to form an improvised
melody. Some, though capable of forming melodies, find playing
songs to be a daunting task. Others may be able to write a
song and yet struggle with why or how to improve it.
Because of such difficulties, many students avoid or
dislike playing and practise. As a result, they end up doing poorly in almost
every musical area. Not only will they have trouble progressing
in regular Guitar Lessons, but they may have trouble in real
life situations-expressing themselves in a relationship or
advancing at work beyond the most basic jobs.
Students need Guitar Lessons that will teach them writing
skills in a way that boosts their confidence as learners, and
provides the basis for expanding their ability to communicate
their emotions through their playing.
