John Mizarolli used to play in Energy, one of Ginger Bakers Bands after Cream. Henry Thomas got John the gig with Ginger in 1980. Henry at the time was also rehearsing and gigging with Allan Holdsworth. Henry asked John to one of Allans rehearsals. After meeting the Band John sat down patiently and waited to see his mate jamming with Allan and Band. After 2 hours of waiting, Henry embarrassingly came over and whispered in Johns Ear " Er, Allan says he won't play in front of you, he would like you to leave! " Yes folks, this is a true story, the great Allan Holdsworth was not comfortable jamming in front of John Mizarolli - Strange but True. As far as John is concerned, he felt this was out of order but typical of alot of elitist musicians in the Uk, who keep themselves to themselves in a very Prissy and Pampered manner. John echoes ' If members of my bands invite musician friends to my rehearsals, I consider it a compliment and it helps me perform better.
