Guitar lessons that build on previous teaching
My guitar lessons can teach you more in a year than you've learned on your own in a lifetime! My private guitar courses offer you
the instructional tuition of a seasoned pro guitar player that
will thoroughly explain every detail and play each note with
you measure by measure in a variety of tempos, techniques and different musical idioms. You will have
backing tracks to jam over in my sessions too, as this is now the accepted normal way of improving your skills at home. John Mizarolli was one of the first guys in the Uk to give out backing tracks for popular blues and rock songs. He started the trend which many now use in 1978. You'll be getting a true cult guitar legend all to yourself teaching you.
It's a great way to improve your playing skill and musical
knowledge.

Here's my philosophy about teaching guitar. "Give a man a fish and he feeds himself
for a day. Teach a man to fish and he feeds himself for life." It's
that way with guitar too and John is famous for being the teachers teacher. You can learn a song on your
guitar and all you'll know is a song. But if you learn music
theory and improve your skill, you'll be able to teach yourself and write
all the songs you want to know. Good guitar tuition should
strive to teach you theory.
Guitar courses that build on previous teaching but reach your desired sound.
Nearly all students can become excellent
players given the time, motivation and the right materials
presented in an organized, systematic and comprehensive manner.
Time is something we all need more of, but I've found that
just two daily 20-minute quality practise periods can produce
amazing results even though you're just keeping the finger in the pie. We have other ideas too that can help you
learn faster but really it's going to some take time. There
are no magic shortcuts, I've searched for them. Anybody who
advertises them is pulling your leg! Pro guitar lessons are the
only way to systematically improve your skill and you can't
beat the personal level of service gained from having your
own tutor. Plus it's fun and rewarding when your practise produces
results.

You may have motivation to learn now but it will slowly erode
unless you hear growth in your playing I guarantee you. That's
just the way it is! That's why I encourage students to record
themselves regulalry and listen to those recordings every day so you can hear the fruits of labour. This generates more
motivation! Good guitar courses should always encourage you to improve
yourself.
Having the right material is essential. I believe in teaching
music conciousness not just giving guitar lessons. I don't believe
in dumbing down the information nor over complicating the issue although in some areas, easy doesn't exist.
In music as most things there is a logical progression of learning,
one idea building upon another and that's the best, quickest
and most thorough way to learn. Good guitar lessons should always
build on top of previous learning. The goal is to play, understand
and enjoy your guitar and the music it makes. If the student
has learned to understand the music that's in front of him, has
seen where it should be played on his instrument, has heard what
it should sound like and has developed the technical skill to
perform it, there is no stopping him. These are the tools we
provide for you. The goal as I was told by Ginger Baker is to let the music play you! For more information please contact the
