Why do
you need Guitar Lessons? Have you ever sat around a campfire, party, or a hung out with friends
singing songs and listening to someone play the guitar, and wished you
were the one playing the guitar? Guitar is about passion and if that's what you feel then follow your emotions - that's what the guy playing did. First of all, because it's fun, you can start playing easy songs almost immediately, and
you'll find yourself getting better quickly if you love the song!
You'll find people appreciate and take interest in your talent when you
can play the guitar well. When I was a teenager, I'd get asked
to come to parties and play my guitar all the time. Let's be honest, Ladies Love an Outlaw! I always
wished I'd taken Guitar Lessons right from the start. Lastly, if you're young and you show an interest in learning guitar,
your parents probably won't make you take those Violin lessons
they've been discussing!

As a guitar teacher John has had students as young as
7 years of age - even the younger ones enjoy learning
guitar. For younger students, he teaches 1 hour weekly
lessons, and asks them to practise for at least 15 minutes at
a time, four times throughout the week. He explains to parents that as soon as you think your
child is able to sit through a 1 hour lesson, guitar lessons
would be beneficial. They make small guitars for smaller hands,
which will make learning much easier. He says not to expect great progress for the first year
or so - but your child will learn to be comfortable with the
instrument, which is extremely important. That is why you should
consider Guitar Lessons for your child from an early age.

For young children, consider buying a small guitar,
and forsake lessons for a while, instead just leaving the instrument
in the child's room. He adds that you should try and get someone to tune
it occasionally, though. If you want to learn to play the guitar or have just
started, the first thing you need is the basic equipment to
get started.
If you are going to learn to play a guitar, of course
owning a guitar is important. If you don't, it will be necessary
to buy one. There are excellent articles
on how to buy a guitar online. This is a must, if you want to
be serious about the Guitar. It makes sense to study the guitar
with your own instrument in Guitar Lessons. It is suggested if you have a friend who plays guitar well,
bring him/her along to help you pick the right guitar for you. John can always advise you if you ask. You need to decide whether you want to play an acoustic
guitar or an electric guitar. There are pros and cons of both electric and acoustic
guitars.
Electric guitars are somewhat easier to play, but you'll
have to buy a guitar amp, a guitar cable, a guitar lead and a guitar pick.
There are also a lot of knobs and buttons to worry about with
an electric guitar. Nowadays you can get the lot, a starter pack for around £100 which is amazing value.
An acoustic guitar, is amazingly more difficult to
learn on for a novice, purely because the strings are thicker and it can be very discouraging for a beginner! Sure, all you'll need is your
acoustic guitar, and a 50 pence guitar pick. Generally, John suggests starting on an an electric guitar, the progress is more immediate & much less painful.
Should you find that you really must start the guitar on an
acoustic guitar then you will find that my Guitar Lessons accomodate
this too, however.

He adds if the child is one who frustrates extremely
easily, electric guitar is the way to go. A
child will see progress more quickly on an electric guitar, because
it's easier to play. Electric Guitar suggests you'll probably also
want to find a guitar instructor. The best way to find a good
teacher is through word of mouth - ask around to find a good
guitar teacher in your area. If you're having trouble, you
can always call a local music store - chances are, they'll
offer lessons. If not, they should be able to recommend someone
that suits your kids needs. Once you choose your guitar you are ready to get started,
learning to play and ready to go for it in your guitar lessons.
While an instructor is important there are some basics you
can learn before and during your lessons. Tuning, Basic Chords, Co-ordination of Right & Left Hand, Using your Amp etc... These basics are still best covered for total beginners with the guidance of an experienced guitar teacher.
