John is versed in classical, jazz, blues, funk, African, Greek and Gypsy influences, but his first love is rock as he finds the electricity closest to his heart for expression and communication. He enjoys teaching but finds songwriting the most natural of his talents, though better known for his phenomenal guitar technique.

John began teaching at 17 due to local demand from bands, musicians and friends. In 1978 John returned to England after spending 4 years in the USA and some time in Jamaica. MIZAROLLI is famous worldwide as a teacher of improvisation and his revolutionary "Spirit/Mind/Body" method has been noted by Music Pioneers as an Innovation on the Music and Teaching scene.
